Remote Learning – Year 4

Welcome to Home Learning

 All  class work and activities can be accessed by logging into Google classroom.

Once logged in you will also be able to find your work and chat with members of your class or your teacher.

If you would like any help or support during a school closure or class isolation you may contact the school office on telephone number 020 8804 5013, email  or for whole school  closures the email address  will be available. We will respond to your query as soon as we can  – Please include your child’s name and class.

For any home learning questions, you may also contact your child’s teacher directly through the Purple Mash ‘2 Email’ or on the private message section of Google Classroom. Further information and help videos are available below.

All children have been given their password sheets , please check your children’s book bags. If you are unable to find them you may contact us in one of the ways mentioned above.

Google Classroom

Once you have logged into Google classroom you will be able to, find, complete and hand in work and activities that have been set for you, chat with friends and ask you teacher question.  Click the above image to get started.

To access Classroom you can use many browsers but as this is a Google product, we suggest you use Google Chrome for the best experience.

In order for Google Classroom to work on an ipad or an Android Tablet please download the free apps Google classroom, Google Docs and Google Meet from either the App Store or the Play Store.

If you are in  Reception to Year 6 you can email your class teacher through Purple Mash. They will be happy to answer  questions about your work, talk about problems you are having or just have a little chat, have a look at how to email in the video clips below.

Year 3 – 6,  you would have learnt how to email in your IT lessons but the videos might be a little reminder for you.

Times Table Rock Stars

A fun way to practice and improve your times tables. Earn coins and and use them to update your Avatar. Play in the studio section to change your ‘Rock Status’ start as a ‘wannabe’ and work your way up to being a ‘Rock Star’! The more you practice the better you will get. Good Luck everyone.

Active Learn

Active Learn is a fantastic interactive online resource which is designed to help children with their reading, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Every child from year 1 to year 6 has a login. Please login and explore!

It is very important that you login using Google Chrome  as your browser or the programme may not allow you to login,  you may also need to enable pop-ups in your browser.

This is our newest subscription, take a look. When you first log in you will need to choose a bot (robot) and a name.  You can get started by playing in the story area. Work through the levels to gain stars. When you have completed the levels the challenge area will unlock for you to continue. Click the above below. Have fun!

Just to let you know Numbots is fairly new and has been having a few problems lately, don’t give up, try again at another time.
